Do you have bothersome and persistent facial redness or rosacea?
Rosacea and facial redness is best treated with a combination of laser treatments and intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy. The laser works by gently heating the upper dermis below the skin surface stimulating collagen re-growth and reducing skin inflammation. Additionally, heat is generated in the region beneath the skin which reduces facial redness. Laser treatment can also reduce the appearance of telangiectasias, which are small red blood vessels that can sometimes be seen within areas affected by rosacea. Intense pulsed light penetrates the skin and constricts the blood vessels, reducing redness. Combining both laser and IPL treatments in a six session package of three laser treatments and three IPL treatments is in our experience the most effective way to treat rosacea and facial redness.
Disappointed with the effectiveness of topical treatments for rosacea?
Topical treatments are the obvious starting points for rosacea treatment and work well for some patients. Other patients require a more intense reduction of inflammation and do not respond well to the usual topical creams. Fortunately, facial redness and rosacea in these patients can gradually reduce with a number of laser and IPL treatments to the skin over time.
Cost of rosacea/facial redness treatments:
Best results are achieved with a three-session package that we offer at $299 per session or, if all three are purchased at once, we give 10% off for a total of $807.30 for the three sessions, plus GST.

How long does it take?
Rosacea therapy takes approximately 30 minutes for the entire face.
Does it hurt?
No. It is a very comfortable procedure. The laser treatment feeling is of a mild warming sensation to the skin. The IPL treatment session consists of instant, sharp blasts of light that feel like a small rubber band snapping at the skin. Most patients tolerate IPL well and do not mind the small snap.
How many sessions are required?
In our experience, rosacea and facial redness requires six sessions to be fully effective: three laser sessions and three intense pulsed light (IPL) sessions.
How long does it take to see results?
The individual treatment results are gradual over months but the overall effect of multiple treatments are impressive.
What will my skin look like immediately post-treatment?
The skin will have a pink/red appearance post treatment which may last anywhere from 20 minutes to 48 hours post treatment. This can be safely covered with makeup. Overall the skin may look and feel warm and tight.
