Dr. Mike Davison MD, CCFP, was raised in Victoria and attended Uvic for his undergraduate degree, graduated from UBC Medical School and completed his residency at Queen’s University. He undertook cosmetic training and certification at Sereno Health in Vancouver BC and at Richmond Square Medical Centre in Calgary. He has a longstanding interest in applying the latest in medical technology to his practice and he is the founder of Cascadia Laser.
Dr. Davison has previously lived and worked in Northern Ontario, where he was the emergency room, hospital and family doctor for a small rural community shortly after graduating from residency. He then moved to Calgary where he was the Medical Director of the Sarcee Transitional Care Program, a 36 bed inpatient program in Calgary which specialized in the long-term rehabilitation of patients who were post-surgical but unable to return to community living. He continues to be a full-time family doctor in Victoria.
Dr. Davison is trained to the highest ANSI/CSA laser standards as required by the College of Physicians of British Columbia.
Dr. Davison is a Clinical Instructor at the University of British Columbia Medical School. He has trained a number of residents over the years for a career in medicine including residents who have proceeded to practice in family medicine, hospitalists and cosmetic medicine.
He enjoys outdoor activities such as backcountry hiking and camping, and he currently plays soccer for a local men’s team. He has two small children and a wife who is also a physician.
Renee Burdon is our Certified Laser Technician and Laser Safety Officer. Her cosmetic certification in laser was achieved at Richmond Square Medical Centre in Calgary, Alberta under a certified Cutera Laser Trainer.
Renee was born and raised in Victoria. She enjoys camping all over the Island and she has a young family with a boy and a girl.
She has been trained to the highest ANSI/CSA laser standards as required by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
